Our owner's comments

Thank you for viewing our home!

We have absolutely loved living in this house over the last 11.5 years and have made many wonderful memories here and hope it will be a home that the next owners will love as much as we have.

When we bought the house in 2012 it was in a very different state. We spent the last 11 years extending the property and bringing it up to a high standard of decor and being mindful of storage and maximising efficient use of space. We did the side return in 2013 and renovated the entire house with new windows, electrics and plastering at the same time. The loft conversion was completed in 2015 and the most recent renovations works were a new Neptune kitchen in 2019 and new main bathroom. Painting, carpets and inbuilt wardrobes in the main bedroom have also been completed in the last 1-2 years. A new combi boiler was fitted in 2023.

A few things we love about the area:
The proximity to Barnes Primary school. We love being so close to the school. We believe there has never been a year where the house wouldn't have been in the catchment area as it's so close. Now having a daughter in the school, it's been so easy to walk/ scoot there in a couple of minutes - this definitely makes the logistical side a lot easier! Even before having children we loved hearing and seeing the children walking past (they are a polite and considerate bunch!) and it brings a real sense of life and energy to the area.
Sense of community - there is a huge sense of community in the "little Chelsea" area. Neighbours are friendly and considerate and will really go out of their way to help each other. The church at the end of the road also brings a lovely sense of community and regardless of your faith, it's a very welcoming and friendly church with a young and energetic vicar, frequently putting on events for the whole neighbourhood.

Location - we love the proximity to the river, Barnes Bridge train station, Richmond Park and the delights of White Hart Lane and Barnes Village. There are several amazing coffee shops - No. 40 on White Hart Lane is our fave and we can also recommend Dolce Crema for ice cream and Orange Pekoe for afternoon tea! We also love the local pubs - The Crossing and the Watermans Arms are our faves for the food and wine.

We absolutely love the area, it's totally unique and special.
